• Wrote every line of web application code for Banker’s Insight release 1.0 – 3.0.
• Designed the web application architecture, security infrastructure, and the web database model. Responsible for all user interface design.
• Developed a multi-dimensional query (MDX)-based analytical reporting solution supporting the drag-and-drop of fields, expand/collapse of hierarchies, charting, drill-through, and sorting.
• Developed a completely configurable information dashboard providing a rich visual display of scorecards listing key performance indicators (KPIs), charts, and tables that can all be drilled into to understand underlying factors contributing to good or bad performance.
• Developed the Insight Search engine, a single-field and internet-type search across customer and company names, addresses, phone numbers, account numbers, reports, and more.
• Developed Customer Profile and Household Profile screens aggregating a 360° view at the customer and household levels. It highlights previously hidden relationship, supplements information with demographics, and empowers decision making with scores for attrition risk and potential profitability.
• Developed a Campaign Management system allowing users to create strategies, campaigns, mail files, and data-driven alerts and leads.
• Responsible for the design and development of the company’s website.
• Co-wrote and served as editor for company white papers and marketing materials.
• Designed and created the company logo, symbol, and associated graphics.
• Developed the Insight Crypto utility to encrypt and decrypt confidential data files.

• Designed and developed the TerrySmithImages.com website.
• Circa 2001: Architected and implemented the TSI Digital Image Management System. This software, written in Java, is a relational database-driven system for storing metadata about images and linking that information to the digital file itself as well as to any physical artifacts such as slides and negatives. It manages a large array of meta-data information on an unlimited number of images (currently several thousand). A thin-client database administration application built with Java technology was also developed.

• Responsible for various enhancements to Enterprise!® leveraging VB.NET, ASP.NET, XML, and Microsoft SQL Server technologies.
• Day-End Analyzer - Developed web-based database analysis application using ASP.NET for supporting the time-critical nightly-processing servicing of Enterprise!® clients. It allows the user to browse and interrogate nightly processing runs; add, save, and execute saved queries; view server environment information; browse expected and installed .NET assemblies and other binary dependencies; and compare the list of currently installed components to the list of expected components.
• User-interface refactoring of the .Net Winforms used by the Transaction Processing subsystem.
• Code refactoring and user interface redesign of the Escrow Analysis subsystem. Dramatically improved customer satisfaction among several commercial loan servicing institutions.

• Software Architecture
  • Architected integration solution utilizing Microsoft .NET Web Services and SOAP to communicate with a third/party ATM/Debit Card vendor.
  • Led a globalization project that investigated Unicode support across Java, HTML, XML, VB, C++, Oracle, Rogue Wave, Jolt, and Tuxedo and designed the changes necessary to implement Unicode across a suite of applications.
  • Co-designed and co-implemented the Application Framework, a database-driven, componentized framework for hosting user interfaces and provided a common look and feel across a suite of applications.
  • Co-architected and co-developed a generic, extendable messaging subsystem that provided user-to-user messaging, remote override requests for user transactions, and host and server online/offline notifications utilizing C++ ATL, Visual Basic, COM, and Tuxedo.
• User Interface Design
  • Consulted on the development of thin-client prototypes for major domestic and international banks.
  • Served as usability engineer for thin-client projects. Developed Java Server Pages and JSP Tags for an intranet-based CRM application.
• Database Design
  • Extensive RDBMS table design experience for many different subsystems and enhancements, ensuring that they coexist appropriately with 300+ other tables. Experienced developing complex SQL queries.
  • Designed the database schema for the multi-currency enablement of a suite of financial applications.
